Tutankhamun was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who reigned from approximately 1323 to 1332 BC. BC reigned. He became pharaoh when he was only 9 years old. He became famous because his grave was discovered in the Valley of the Kings, virtually unlooted, by Howard Carter in 1922.
